FINAL WEEK: Building Out an A.I. Software For LOs

April 15, 20262 min read

Six weeks ago, I set out to build something I had never built before: an AI database agent specifically designed for loan officers. Today, I am wrapping up the development phase and getting ready for real-world testing.

Where the Idea Started

The idea started simply enough. Loan officers spend a huge amount of time managing client data, tracking leads, and digging through databases. I wanted to build an AI agent that could handle a lot of that heavy lifting automatically, saving time and reducing friction in the workflow.

The Build Process

What I did not expect was how fast the build would go once I had the right tools in place.

I used Claude Code to write the bulk of the application, and honestly, it changed the way I think about building software. I could take an idea, sketch out an outline, hand it over, and watch functional code come back.

That does not mean it was effortless. There was plenty of iteration, debugging, and refining. But the speed at which I could move from concept to working code was unlike anything I had experienced before.

Moving Into Testing

Now, the code is essentially complete and ready for its first round of testing. My plan is to bring it to three or four of my existing loan officer clients, work through the rough edges, gather feedback, and polish it before opening it up publicly.

Why Private Testing Matters

Why test privately first? Because there is a real difference between code that works and a product that works for people.

Loan officers have specific workflows, specific pain points, and specific expectations. I want to make sure the agent fits into their world before I invite everyone else in.

Launch Timeline

There is no hard launch date yet. It could be a few weeks, it could be a couple of months. What matters is that it is ready and genuinely useful when it does go live.

Final Thoughts

This project has been a reminder of what is possible right now. The barrier between idea and working product has never been lower.

If you have a problem worth solving and the right tools in hand, you can build something real faster than ever before.

Stay tuned. The public launch is coming.
