Stop Building Funnels From Scratch - Clone It Instead
If you’re a loan officer, you probably don’t have three extra hours in your day to build a new marketing funnel from scratch. The good news? You don’t need to. Once you’ve built (or been given) a winning funnel inside your CRM, you can clone it in under a minute, make a few smart tweaks, and launch a fresh campaign fast—without reinventing the wheel.
In this blog, we’ll walk through how to:
Clone an existing funnel in just a few clicks
Customize it for a holiday “rate watch” push
Duplicate your form so you can track results separately
Use this same process for any future campaigns, not just holidays
Why Cloning Funnels Is a Power Move for Loan Officers
Most loan officers struggle with consistency in their marketing. You build something great once… then never touch it again because it took too long. Cloning solves that.
Once you have a proven “rate watch” funnel that’s already converting, you can:
Reuse the same structure
Change just the messaging and branding
Launch campaigns around seasons, market shifts, or special promos
Track performance between versions
Instead of starting from a blank page, you’re starting from a winner.
Step 1: Choose the Winning Funnel to Clone
Start by going into your CRM under Sites → Funnels/Websites (wording may vary depending on your platform).
From there:
Find the funnel that’s already performing well. In this example, that’s your Rate Watch Funnel.
Click into it just to confirm it’s the right one. Most systems show a quick preview so you can double-check the layout and content.
Once you’re sure you’ve got the right one, go back to the funnel list.
Step 2: Use the Three-Click Clone Process
Now it’s time to clone. In most CRMs, it’s literally this simple:
Click the three dots/ellipsis next to your winning funnel.
Select Clone or Duplicate.
Rename your funnel so you can clearly track it.
For example:
Original:
Rate Watch FunnelNew:
Rate Watch Funnel – Holiday Push – November 2025
Make sure it’s assigned to the correct account or sub-account (often called your “database” or “sub account” in the system). Then hit Confirm and let the system build the clone. If it seems stuck loading, a quick page refresh usually reveals the finalized cloned funnel.
Step 3: Tweak the Copy for a Holiday “Rate Watch” Angle
Now click into your new funnel and hit Edit on your main page. The skeleton is already done for you—that’s the beauty of cloning. You just need to adjust the messaging.
For a holiday rate watch campaign, your angle might be:
Headline idea: “Know When Mortgage Rates Drop After the Holiday Spending”
Subheadline idea: “After the holiday bills hit, find out how many hundreds you could save each month on your mortgage.”
This speaks directly to what consumers feel right after the holidays: higher spending, lower bank balances, and a renewed desire to save money. Your funnel becomes the bridge between that pain and a solution.
If you use video, this is also a great spot to update your video to mention the holiday season and the “post-Christmas savings” message.
Step 4: Duplicate the Form So You Can Track Results
If you want to compare performance between your normal Rate Watch funnel and your Holiday Push version, do not use the same form.
Instead:
Go to Forms or Form Builder inside your CRM.
Find your existing
Rate Watchform.Click the three dots, choose Duplicate, and rename it to something like
Rate Watch – Holiday Push.
Now you have:
The same fields and structure as your original form
A totally separate form for clean analytics
In your analytics section, you’ll be able to see:
Views
Responses
Completion rate
Average time to complete
This lets you know whether your holiday messaging is actually outperforming your standard funnel.
Step 5: Connect the New Form and Publish
Head back to Sites → Funnels, open your Rate Watch Funnel – Holiday Push, and:
Click Edit on your main step.
Swap the form to your new
Rate Watch – Holiday Pushform.Hit Publish.
Select the domain connected to your sub account/CRM so the funnel lives at a real URL.
Double-check your Thank You page as well. You can lightly customize it with holiday language or an extra line reminding them what happens next.
Bonus: Clone Individual Steps for Even Faster Testing
Inside most funnel builders, you can also clone individual steps. That means you can:
Add a new landing page step
Clone an existing form or thank you step
Rename and reorder steps to test different flows
This is great if you want to add a pre-qualification page, a special holiday message page, or A/B test different headlines without touching the rest of the funnel.
Final Thoughts
You do not need hours to launch new campaigns. Once you know how to clone funnels, tweak copy, and duplicate forms, you can spin up new versions in minutes—whether it is for the holidays, rate drops, first-time buyer pushes, or any other niche.
Build one great funnel. Then let cloning do the heavy lifting.
